Comic Con Palm Springs

Hey everyone!  I’m exhibiting at Comic Con Palm Springs with my wife who’s exhibiting under Nerdy Novelty Design!  If you’re stranded in the desert come say hi! We’re at table #A18.  I’ll be selling my new book Tales of Absurdity: The Dawn of Absurdity, along with greeting cards, prints and presidential sketches!

New Book Out!

Hey Absurdity fans!

I have finally completed and published the first collection of Tales of Absurdity, titled The Dawn of Absurdity. It collects the first 100 comic strips, spanning the last 2 and half years. It includes the popular strips, “Evolution,” “Philosopher Secrets,” “The Future” and “Today in Fish News” Parts 1, 2 and 3. I’m so excited to start selling it at conventions!

It’s currently available on my store and Amazon.

Happy New Year 2016!

newyear2016

Wow, the year is over! 2015 has been an amazing year for me. Tales of Absurdity really made some strides and it’s all thanks to the support of you readers!

I very much appreciate the nice comments I’ve received as my comics have progressed. In 2015, I took that first step and exhibited in Artist Alley at WonderCon and Comikaze. There I got to meet some amazing fans who helped motivate me to keep doing what I’m doing. I also got to network with fellow artists and creators. It’s been a terrific learning experience and I hope to do more in 2016.

I also got married this year! I’m very lucky to have such a supportive wife encouraging me to make the best comics I can. I don’t think I’d even be doing this if not for her support.

I have a lot planned for 2016 and hope to share it with all of you! Here’s hoping you have a happy and safe new year!

Thanks again,

-Alex

Comikaze 2015

ComikazeTOA

Hey Absurdites!

I”ll be exhibiting at Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo this weekend Oct 30 – Nov 1, 2015. If you’re in SoCal and sick of trick or treating, come by the LA Convention Center and say hi! I’ll be selling Tales of Absurdity prints, pun-derful greeting cards, buttons and live sketches of any U.S. President (even the ugly ones). I went to Comikaze last year and had a blast and randomly bumped into a bunch of coworkers. I’ll be at table N18 in Artists Alley, across from my good friend Binx who’s at O18. Check her stuff out! Hope to see you there!

Comics Squee Podcast Episode 41

Hey comics fans!

I got the opportunity to be a guest panelist on the Comics Squee Podcast. I had a lot of fun talking comics with Chriss, John and Shelli. I got to talk about my love for Troy Little’s Angora Napkin series. I talked about the second book, but you can read the first book for free!

Also check out other episodes of the Comics Squee Podcast if you want any ideas on what comics to check out next!

WonderCon 2015: Day One

WonderCon has been a blast so far! Today we set up my Artist Alley booth and our banners look great. If there’s one thing I learned today is that people love Star Trek…a lot! The highlight of my day was a couple from the San Fernando Valley (my home town) who both independently noted my bio in the WonderCon program, because I stated that I “Will draw any U.S. President (even the ugly ones)!” It was their first WonderCon, but they really “got” my comic and I even got to sketch President James K. Polk for them.

Otherwise we got to meet a lot of nice people who left our table laughing after reading some of the comic prints and greeting cards we’re selling. If you’re attending WonderCon the rest of this weekend, come say “hi!” I’ll be at Artist Alley table #D-02.
